FAQs
Am I allowed to install a rainwater tank for my house?Generally, yes, you can install rainwater tanks in new and existing dwellings in the shire. They are an option in new dwellings to meet the potable (mains) water-saving element of BASIX, and/or to meet Council's storm water management requirements, or you may choose to install one in an existing dwelling for environmental reasons. Conditions may apply, so please refer to the additional rainwater tanks frequently asked questions.
