Fortnightly Recycling Collections

A fortnightly recycling service is available throughout the Shire.  A timetable for collections in 2008 and area maps can be downloaded below.  The maps show which week ("A" or "B") and which weekday the collections occur throughout the various areas within our shire.

Your participation in the recycling service will result in saved landfill space, maximum recovery of resources and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.  Only those items listed below can be placed in the recycling bin.

• Newspaper, cardboard, office paper, magazines and junk mail
• All glass bottles and jars.  Rinse and place in bin (no lids)
• Steel and aluminium cans and empty aerosols
• All plastic bottles and containers marked 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (no lids)
• Juice and milk cartons

• NO plastic bags or recyclables inside plastic bags
• NO ceramics, ovenware or light bulbs
• NO garden waste

Drop off centres are located at Council's landfills. Scavenging is NOT permitted however useful items are separated by staff and are available for purchase.
