Scone and Upper Hunter Historical Society Inc

Museum housed in the old lock-up and residence (c.1870) and the Research Centre is located next door in the old Sergeant's Residence.

The Museum creates special exhibitions for Australia Day and the Scone Horse Festival as well as having items relating to the Scone district continually on display. The Research Centre has published a number of books relevant to Scone and district as well as assisting people with their local research whether it be information on the local area or compiling their family history.

Research Centre open Wednesdays only 9.30am to 2.30pm. Closed mid Dec to mid Jan each year. Research fees $15.00 initial enquiry plus photocopy charges of 25c per page. Membership fees $18.00 annually due 1 Jan each year. Members receive a discount on research fees ie initial enquiry $5.00 plus photocopy costs.

Museum open Wednesdays 9.30am to 2.30pm & Sundays 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Admission Adults $2, Child 50c Family $5. Closed during Christmas/New Year.
